Good headphones sure make a difference
Most people probably just use what is usually supplied or get some cheap earphones to pass their day with music. Thats me like 7 months ago too but due to recent changes, music is probably all I have to pass the day. So I thought: Why not spend some money on a good set of earphones/headphones and boy was I glad. The difference is very significant especially when you get hold to something of your taste.
The first I aquired was a Westone UM1. I got it due to need of a decent earphone that can block off all the noise when I am returning home via train. Initially I find the earphone pretty uncomfortable but as time pass I get pretty use to it. The UM1 is very good when it comes to isolation of surrounding noise. This is due to the design which fits most ears I guess. Most In Ear phones just use the stick it in design which if not done well will probably leak tons of sound. The next thing is the clarity of the sound. Definitely a step up from my previous philips earphones. Its clear but the bass still can be improved. Guess thats what the UM2 is for lol.
The next piece I got is a Grado Alessandro Music Series 1 headphones. It replaces my UM1 on normal usage this days as it produces what I felt clearer and more defined sound with better bass to boot. The next is it doesnt make me deaf while still in audiable. So far other then a huge gathering due to some stars visitng the mall, the headphones are usually more then enough to make the music clear and audiable without extreme levels. Only thing is this phones have near no sound stage (think about an open space where ur in the middle and instruments are played around you.) It sounds as if everything is just next to ur ears lol. Great for music definitely not good for any first person shooters.
Guess this end my rant for the week. Next week after I book out from my fantastic camp will I continue on.
